Many moons have passed since the summoning of the Phoenix to save the Phoenix Empire, and the empire was seemingly rid of the darkness wrought by the awakening of Lord Berith and his minions of darkness.
The battle is not yet over it seems, as the Shadow Realm from whence Lord Berith was unleashed has left a crack in the barrier separating the realm of the dark forces from the Phoenix Empire.
Trickling into our realm, the minions of darkness are once again beginning to overrun the empire. They will breech the gates of the empire at precisely the night of the 20th day of the 8th month at 8:00 pm PST.
The Need for New Power
We are in a bit of trouble though, for it seems that the Phoenix cannot be summoned again until the flames have regenerated — but there is still hope! The Phoenix Emperor’s oracle has discovered that there is a trinket holding our realm in connection to the Shadow Realm: A powerful ring — Berith’s Rune Signet.
Dark Gems and Golden Phoenix Feathers
It seems that the ring is trapped in between our two realms, creating the fissure that allows the minions of darkness to slip into the Phoenix Empire. While the Phoenix cannot save the empire this time, the Signet possesses enough power to close the fissure if it can be purified by mages of the Phoenix Empire. The ritual requires both elements of good and evil to stabilize its power: Golden Phoenix Feathers and the Dark Gems from the Shadow Realm:
- 25,000 Golden Phoenix Feathers
- 20,000 Dark Gems
You will be able to obtain these items by defeating the minions of darkness and harvesting the Dark Gems from their armor. You might discover that while on your quests you find scattered Dark Gems and Golden Phoenix Feathers as well.
Once again, all warriors of the Phoenix Empire must come together and fight the forces of darkness in order to bring the Rune Signet into our plane of existence and save the empire!
